Course Objective

The objective of this course is to give clear understanding of the fundamental concepts of plasticity theory.

1   To learn high degree stress analysis
2   To understand engineering problem types which can be solved by this theory
3   To learn how to improve strength of materials with using residual stresses
4   To calculate plastic deformation of materials
5   To solve engineering problems by using finite element methods
