Course Objective

The aim of this course is, to give grammar and syntax rules of classical Greek language and to translate original sentences and texts from classical Greek to Turkish.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Give classical Greek knowledge related all museum artifacts.
2   Give language ability with the level of understanding the contexts and to comprehend the kind of inscriptions
3   Give enough Greek knowledge for reading and defining to classify coins
4   Give knowledge for reading figures and analyzing inscriptions in Greek language on ceramics, seals, gems, weight instruments etc.
5   Give the basic rules of Greek language with using archaeological data
