 Week Subject Description 1 Basic Concepts Definition of the terms such as statistics, variable, variation, population, observation, data, sample 2 Summarization and Presentation of Data Forming a frequency table. Summarizing and presenting data in graphical way. 3 Descriptive Statistics Measures of Central Tendency and Variation 4 Coding Data for Statistical Calculations Additive, multiplicative, and combined coding 5 Probability Definition of the terms such as sample space, relative frequency, probablity 6 Random Variables The classification of random variables and the concept of expected value 7 Probability Distributions for Discrete Variables Binomial and Poisson Distributions 8 1st Midterm 9 Probability Distributions for Continuous Variables Normal Distribution 10 Statistical Inference Point and interval estimations for population mean.
