History |
Master of Foreign Trade with thesis is related to Dokuz Eylül University, Social Sciences Institute Department of International Business and Trade and started to offer courses with the University Senato 11/09/2012 date and no. 405/07 decision. The programme started teaching and education in 2012-2013 teaching period. Master of Foreign Trade with thesis offers theory and practice based interdisciplinary courses which integrate management, economics, accounting and finance, marketing, international trade, international business management courses in order to develop strategies and generate solutions for complex international business problems by considering the effects of international enviromental factors in dynamic structure of international business arena. The language of education is English. |

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
According to the Regulations of Dokuz Eylül University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective. |

Profile of the Programme |
There are still 19 instructors in Dokuz Eylül University, Social Sciences Institute Department of International Business and Trade Master of Foreign Trade with non-thesis programme. 85 computers in faculty computer labs, rest rooms and faculty library are eligible for post graduate student use during 08.30 am 22.00 pm. There are thesis library, computer lab and wireless to support students thesis and Project studies. The language of the courses offered in the programme is English. |

Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples |
Graduates of the Foreign programme are employed at planning or operation departments of foreign trade companies; at finance and marketing departments of firms operating at international level; in organizations which are directly related to foreign trade such as banks, local, regional or international trade agencies, chambers of commerce, free trade zones, economic development agencies. Graduates of this programme can also be entrepreneur in foreign trade area. |

Evaluation and assessment methods for each course is defined in the the Course Description Form which is prepared by related faculty member / s and included in the information package. Exams and course success notes is subject to the relevant articles of the DEU Regulation on Graduate Education. |
Graduation Requirements |
Second Cycle (Master's Degree) Non-Thesis Program is comprised of courses (at least 82 ECTS), Term Project (8ECTS), in total 90 ECTS credits. Students must have minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50/4.00 and completed all the courses with at least CB/ S / TP grades. |
