Course Objective

This course provides students with the principles involved in helping clients(family members) toward resolution of their concerns, and practice the micro-skills involved in goal-oriented efficient brief counseling. Specific crisis intervention practices include suicide prevention, outreach approaches ,and disaster intervention.

2   Understand the dynamics of crisis situations in families
3   formulate concrete well informed plans of assessment
4   expand problem solving strategies and decision making styles in crisis management
