Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students to become counseling supervisors who have the skills necessary to supervise, provide emotional support and address the professional development of counselors.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to clarify roles and relationships among supervisors, counselors and organizations
2   Be able to identify types of supervisory practices and settings
3   Develop supervisory skills through theory, practice and assessment tasks
4   Identify /prevent counselor burn out
5   Be able to update counselors and improve their knowledge and skills
