Course Objective

The students will be able to learn how to guidance and counseling to after trauma.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning the impact of a traumatic event on children, adolescents and their families,
2   Knowing what is happening in the responses seen in individuals after a traumatic event,
3   Be able to help individuals coping with the effects of trauma,
4   Awareness about the duties of parents and teachers after trauma,
5   Training resistant individuals to traumatic events,
6   Psychological counseling to traumatized individuals.

1 The definition of trauma and post traumatic stress disorder.
2 The symptoms seen after trauma.
3 The effects of trauma on the families of children and adolescents.
4 Psychological aid for children s mourning, prevention and helping for suicidal attempt.
5 Helping to addicts.
6 The psychological effects of torture, terror and war.
7 The psychological effects of torture, terror and war.
8 Mid-term exam.
9 Coping with the effects of earthquake.
10 Coping with traffic accidents effects.
11 Helping to the children of broken families.
12 Psychotherapy in post traumatic stress disorder.
13 The functions of families and teachers after trauma.
14 Having strong individuals resistant to trauma.
15 Final Exam
