Successful students who have completed at least one semester in the graduate program of another institute within the university or another higher education institution may apply for a transfer in the announced dates if the quota is determined by the Board of Directors. The conditions for admission of the transfer are determined by the institute board. |

PhD program consists of at least seven courses, thesis proposal, field of expertise, proficiency exam, seminar and thesis work, not less than at least 21 local credits. |

Aims of the Doctorate Program of Primary School Teacher Education are; to train specialists and academicians who are open to changes and developments and who can put forward solutions and new models to problems in the branch s/he has specialized in, renew and update themselves with the necessities of the modern age and keep up with and practice the national and international repertoire and adopt lifelong learning and science as a way of living. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Students must attend classes, practices and examinations. In order for students to qualify for midterms they should attend 70% of the theoretical classes. Students attendance is followed by their Instructor. For almost all required and elective courses there are two written examinations: One midterm examination (given during each semester and dates of which are announced by the Department in the first month of the semester) and one final exam. The instructor announces the weekly course content, the course book and how students will be evaluated and the dates of the exams to the students and the Institute at the beginning of the semester. The instructor evaluated the students depending on their midterm and final grades, attendance to the class, their additional work such as projects, presentations and assignments which were presented at the beginning of the semester. |
Graduation Requirements |
Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree) Program is comprised of at least 7 courses (minimum 21, maximum 30 national credits) more than, passing a qualifying examination, preparing and defending a doctoral dissertation, in total 240 ECTS credits. |
