Water Resources Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Laboratory of DEU SUMER currently works on water resources projects to develop methods and tools to support decision making for water resources management, particularly in the case of scarce water resources.
The Lab team has an extensive background in:
· Surveying and Mapping
· Water Quantity and Quality Modeling
· Geographic Information Systems
· Spatial Database Systems
The laboratory has the most of advanced CAD, Desktop Mapping and GIS tools in Windows platform, and the team members are experienced in the use of related software, including:
· Oracle, MS SQL
· MicroStation, AutoCAD
· ARC/INFO, ArcView, IDRISI, ILWIS, CAD-Overlay, MGE, GeoMedia and MapInfo.
The team also has experience in several computer programming languages, and operation systems including DOS, Unix, VM/CMS (for IBM 4341 mainframe) and Windows.
